Hey guys, in this video I want to talk to you about, how marketers can deliver better results in less time. All right, let’s jump in to it.

I have this graph here to show you. This is custom up here. What I want to show you is, we’re graphing two things. We’re graphing quality work along this axis and we’re delivering cost and time along this. Over here it’s less cost and time, here it’s more cost and time. Here it’s less quality, here it’s higher quality.

What I want to show you is the three business models that marketers use and how to shift business models and take advantages of all of the benefits of shifting to the left.

Custom basically means you’re employing somebody who understands their function. In the example of SEO, it means, you’re either a great SEO yourself or you’ve hired a great SEO. You don’t necessarily have any systems or processes or checklists and things that you’re going to do. You just depend on this person, either yourself and/or the person that you’ve hired that’s really good at it, to go out and do what needs to be done. They follow some kind of thought process obviously and they can deliver great results but it takes them a lot of time and generally you’ve got to pay them a higher wage in order to maintain that skill set.

What I want to show you here is, what ends up happening there is in order to get a consistent amount of quality you’ve got to pay a really high price because you’re using a very high value input of labor. Whether it’s yourself or somebody you hire.

What ends up happening is if you shift over here to the systematic approach, which is something to the effect of at least an SEO would be, all right, here’s what we’re going to do when we get a new customer, we’re going to have an onboarding system. We’re going to have an audit system, we’re going to have a setup up system, we’re going to on page system and an off page, maybe you have a social media content creation, and you’re going to have a reporting system.

You’ve broken your work into systems but, it’s not niched down. You’re applying it to any business that comes in, so there are things that are going to have to happen custom. Things like keyword research, things like content creation idea, things like authority sites to grab links from. Everything is going to be need to be created and on top of it, you need to understand that business model so you need to spend time talking to the client to understand the business model, the buyer journey, the client’s pain points. All of this takes time and resources away from what you’re working on in order to deliver that result.

Ultimately, what I want to show you is as you go to a niche system, which means, you focus on one business and one solution for one type of problem. Now what ends up happening is you understand that buyer journey, the keyword research is already done, you already understand all of the story or content creation ideas that you would want to deploy for them. It allows you to shift your costs to the left.

What you’re seeing here is, if we want to deliver the same level of quality, it’s going to cost this much to do it with custom work, this much to do it with generic work, and this much to do on your own niche system. The niche system delivers the same amount of quality, in a fraction of the amount of time or cost, whether that’s your time or your employees time, it just shrinks the amount of resources required to deliver a consistent quality.

Likewise, if we were going to say that we only want to spend this amount of money along the cost/time continuum here, you’d see that we get the lowest quality on the custom work. We would get a higher amount on system and then you would see up here, with the niche, you have the highest level of quality.

Ultimately what this allows you to do by niching down and building the systemized approach to your business, you have an unfair advantage in the market. You’re either able to deliver a similar level of quality, much more profitably or you’re able to deliver at a price point that’s way lower at a higher level.

What we want to do is, we want to take this approach to moving our business away from custom, which is not scalable. Right? Unless you can clone yourself and/or find multiple people to deliver that high value service and ultimately in order to do that you’re going to have to pay custom prices. What we’re seeing in digital marketing is, people want to pay less. The way that you can produce quality work is to systematize that approach. If you’re the SEO, you want to figure out what your system is, you want to pick one niche, you want to document that process so that you’re able to delegate work to other people and leverage low cost labor to deliver high quality work based on your formula.

Hopefully you got something from this My name is Stuart Trier from SEO Cheat Guides. I work with entrepreneurs in the digital marketing space to add systems and leverage to their business. We’re working with 16 entrepreneurs right now on a case study doing this exact thing, adding and attract, convert and deliver system into their business so that they take advantage of leverage and automation ultimately producing a more lucrative business that’s easier to run and is just much more fun for them because they’re working on the business as opposed to in the business.
