Today I want to further push this notion of how to properly break down tasks into their most finite (yet time consuming parts). Through this quick post not only will you begin to see the way my mind works but you’ll further learn how I am able to outsource so much of my client work to low cost Virtual Assistants.
In case you are wondering I outsource a ton of chores at home to (cleaning, lawn care, pool care, snow shovelling, grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, ironing). My wife, kids and nanny have become accustomed to me bringing new people into the house to handle every chore imaginable.
Which leaves me with plenty of time to enjoy my wife and my kids without the worry of chores…

Now for the good stuff!
We all know that when setting up a new client there are tons of tasks that need to take place right away. Perhaps the biggest these tasks is to go through what they do (or do not) have in place for a social media presence. After we’ve seen what their deficiencies are we then go and add the accounts they are missing BUT then we need to ensure they have similar branding.
This leads to social profile pictures, cover pictures, in all shapes and sizes.
What size goes into YouTube versus Facebook versus Twitter? Do I need to have them all made? Which one goes where?
I’ve been through this a million times and for quite some time now I haven’t spent a single second of my time dealing with it.
How did I achieve this?
Well, I knew that this task was both repeatable and low risk which for me means that it is a PERFECT candidate for outsourcing.
With that identified all I had to do was come up with a simple form to get everything I want completed.
I broke down all of the common cover/profile pictures for the social media sites into one simple checklist and now I simply check a few boxes, contact a VA and sip a coffee…then I sit back and watch the work get done for me!

P.S. I also have the VA upload the cover/profile pictures to each account. I give them access without knowledge of a password by using LastPass. Its how I manage security for all passwords and VA’s access.
